J.C. Beans

About J.C. Beans

A cottage on PCH.

Vaulted timber beams, a wall of brass bean dispensers, and a fireplace nook lined with books — a coffee house built for staying a while.

The idea

Coffee, ground fresh, behind the brass.

J.C. Beans Coffee House is a quaint, comfy cafe in Dana Point featuring espresso and coffee, fresh-baked pastries, a book library, a fireplace, and patio seating — with dine-in, drive-through, and delivery.

The roast dispensers behind the counter hold everything from a light Guatemala Antigua to our dark house blend — ground to order, cup by cup, the same way since the doors opened on PCH.

What we believe

Stay as long as you like.

01

A Library, Not Just a Counter

Shelves of books line the fireplace nook — pull one down, sink into a chair, and stay a while. It's the reason regulars call this a second living room.

02

Beans, Ground Fresh

Our house blends — light Guatemala Antigua, medium Killer Dana, dark house roast — are measured from the dispensers right behind the counter.

03

Patio Built for PCH Mornings

Palm-lined seating just off Pacific Coast Highway, with the marine layer burning off by mid-morning — Dana Point's easiest excuse to slow down.

04

Seriously the Best in OC

Nominated Top 5 Coffee House in Orange County — the same framed write-up has hung by the register for years.

Behind the counter

A library, a fireplace, a chair that fits.

Pull a book off the shelf, sink into the wingback chair by the wood stove, and let the espresso machine do the rest — regulars call it their second living room.
